Gossssshhh!!!

Not much to update. I’m still out of work, but receiving unemployment. But I’m taking advantage of the system and going back to school Full-Time for the next 3 months to get a certificate in Web Design and trying, once more, for a graphics position. I have to drive an hour just to get to the school, which is in Oakhurst, NJ.

IF ANYONE HAS NAYHTING TO TELL ME ABOUT PROTRAIN, INC. IN OAKHURST, NJ DO IT NOW!!!!!

Anyways. Finished HP: Half-Blood Prince. Literarily (is that even a word?!) I don’t think it was as good as its predecessor HP: Order of the Phoenix, but it’s still not a bad job. The story was compelling enough to make me finish it in 3 days. I just felt it was a bit lacking in something, and I can’t tell what. Maybe it was just rushed. Not enough build-up, possible. A bit predictable. And it certainly didn’t help that no less than 3 people ruined the end for me.

Also finished Battle Royale: The Novel. That was good as well. Made me wish I could watch it again.

Can’t wait because I ordered Dark Water from BN.com and it should arrive within the next couple of days. I absolutely LOVED The Ring, I mean, the story was highly compelling, but it was the way it was written that I really enjoyed. I wasn’t surprised when I saw they made an American movie rendition of it. But I saw a preview for the original from the anime network, so I think the Japanese movie is coming to On Demand.

As you can tell I’ve been doing a lot of cleaning and reading while I have been out of work. Slightly productive, right?

Can’t wait to go to Jenn’s beach house tomorrow. And school starts Monday. Whoopeeeee!!!!

I agree with you on Harry Potter. Granted, I haven't read one book, but I have a friend who clearly outlines the story for me in the most basic way possible. I know who dies, how, why, and what's going to happen to the person who's the reason they're dead, etc. etc. And I don't like the turn the Potter books are taking. I don't think the stories have as much magical mystery and suspense and happiness as the first couple of movies have. Maybe it's just me, but lovable characters shouldn't be killed in a children's book, and people you grow to trust and love as well become villains. Not my style.

Do you mean Dark Water with Jennifer Connolly, or the Japanese one it spawned off of? I wanted to see it in theaters but no one's playing it around here.

I also forgot to tell you on the phone yesterday 'cause I was so excited you kalled that I wasn't able to get your present or make your shoe cake yet. I had to pay my dad for car insurance that I forgot was due this week. So I was thinking of maybe in two weeks visiting you and staying at your place for a night or maybe even two if you want and I'd bring your present and cake. I did look for something for you but I couldn't find anything you'd like. All the shops around here sell all sorts of beachy stuff. But I'll find you something. Oh well. At least I get the enjoyment of watching your face fall off as I tell you that I have nothing for you today. Then, when you least expect it, I'm going to slap you in the face with a pound of raw ground beef. 85% lean.
